The Friends of Arlington’s Great Meadows are a group of residents of Arlington, Lexington and beyond, who care deeply about Arlington’s Great Meadows. We are committed to the preservation and stewardship of this remarkable natural landscape by working together with officials of the towns of Arlington and Lexington and with citizens everywhere who care about it.

The Friends of Arlington’s Great Meadows are committed to the protection and stewardship of this valuable natural landscape with the participation of members and town officials of the communities of Arlington, Lexington and the surrounding region.
General Activities
The work of the Friends of Arlington’s Great Meadows focuses on three main areas: educational activities, natural resource management, and conservation/legal issues:
Educational activities: organize educational and recreational activities such as nature walks and field trips.
Natural resource management: work on issues such as trail signage, removal of invasive plants, enhancing wildlife habitat, and improving trails.
Conservation/legal issues: investigate the legal and zoning issues associated with this land, and consider how best to protect it.
